I haven't read Different Seasons yet, but I absolutely loved Shawshank & the Body. Classic stuff.

Anyone want to throw out some good and mostly entertains book reads. I have a 15 hour flight soon and the only way I got threw it last time was really scar tissue. I want a book that I dont want to put down.

^ Anything by Bukowski. The short stories like Tales of Ordinary Madness & The Most Beautiful Woman in Town seem to go quicker than the novels, like Ham on Rye, Women, Hot Water Music, Post Office, etc.

Try God Bless You Mr. Rosewater or Slaughterhouse V by Kurt Vonnegut. Both move quickly and are interesting and funny.

If you're going non-fiction I recommend a biography, pick a favorite musician maybe.

I have been wanting to read a good book for a while now.. I stopped reading for quite a while. I figure i work less and have the time to start.

Anyone recommend anything that is or close to science fiction fantasy? (usually what iv liked)

you should read anything new wave sci-fi... it's all great. science fiction with philosophical edge. and drugs. i always recommend dhalgren, since it's my favorite book. anything by philip k. dick is probably a good call too though.
