This is my second Stephen King novel after Pet Sematary and I'm enjoying this a lot more. Even though vampires were never really my thing.

While it still has King's somewhat hokey writing, I think It is his best novel conceptually.

Still gotta give my love to Carrie. It's relatively amateurish but the story tugs at your heartstrings.

I loved The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and have that book and Drown on my short list of books to read soon.

Oh, and I'm reading this when I take breaks from War & Peace:

When You Are Engulfed In Flames—David Sedaris
So far it's not as funny as Naked (the only other book I've read by him), but I'm still enjoying it.

Still fitting in some reading time for Puzo's masterpiece when I can manage it. Just about to start Book II. End of Book one: "The War of the Five Families had begun". LOTR and GoT eat your hearts out!

This, however, was recommended very highly. I've been hearing lots about it for the past few years but it was Jordan Peterson placing it as his #1 recommend book (with regards to his intellectual development) that finally pushed me to start listening to it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far. But I'm not far enough into it to give any kind of verdict.
I found it engaging at first then I got really bored with it. Probably didn't help that I had just wolfed my way through Nineteen Eighty-Four in three days. Again.

Rich bastard.

I really should read that at some point. Are you enjoying it?

Oh it is fantastic. And I've seen the movie. Of course. Doesn't spoil it in the least, except I can see Marlon Robert and Al in their roles. But superb stuff.

Interesting, I found it engrossing. I had a little difficulty trudging through some of the denser sections of 1984 (the orthodoxy/unorthodoxy compare and contrast section that goes on for like fifteen pages was rough).
