i've been reading books on social psychology...not a novel or anything..but they're pretty interesting. one of them was called "influence: science and practice" by robert cialdini and it's a very helpful book for anyone. it talks about tactics that people (especially salespeople) use to convince people to do things (i.e., purchase something). the book also has sections of each chapter that teaches you how to defend yourself against these tactics. i think it's a useful book.. a fast read also..and pretty entertaining.
