Spoiler for spoilers for if you havent made it past like 100 pages of GoT:

She was such an ******* to Jon though, seriously how ****ed up was that after Bran fell and she said it should've been him???

Bah, maybe there's more to her than that but I didn't like her in that part at all.

LOL like....how the fuck would a normal person react to their husband's bastard being brought up amongst her own children?? Like that's just not done. I ****ing hate this argument against her because it's sexist as ****, we don't have ~magic all encompassing motherly instincts~ and Catelyn is from a pretty noble House (House Tully) so it's an affront to her status to have him there, especially when the rumour is he was whelped on a tavern wench.

Jon Snow is one of the most boring characters anyway idgaf
Catelyn is always right about everything, you'll see

I'm not saying she should like him but being that cruel to someone that has no control over where they're from is pretty ****ed. Especially saying what she did with the whole Bran thing. Not liking someone and being intolerant of their presence is one thing, being cruel is another.

IDK, I've been in Jon's shoes so maybe I can relate more.

Reading Bram Stoker's Dracula while midways in The Hobbit. I tried to read it in english first - I found an e-book at Project Gutenberg - but it was too heavy for me. Decided to read it in Norwegian instead.

Does anyone have any recommendations for novels with good, really dark humour? It doesn't necessarily have to be a war novel, but ones I've enjoyed before are Catch-22, Slaughterhouse Five, and A Clockwork Orange.

Anything by Chuck Palahniuk, the dude who wrote Fight Club. Other than that I've read Snuff and Choke and one other book and they've all been hilarious, screwed up, and surreal. I still need to read my copy of Invisible Monsters too.

I'm doing a 50-book challenge, in which I'm meant to read a book by an author from each of the American states in a year.

I'm starting with Jerry Stahl from PA.

It's about a heroin addict who writes for a Christian singles dating site.

this sounds cute. good luck with the challenge

a friend recommended this poetry book to me awhile back; it was a pretty fun read-through.

Spoiler for 1.:
Suppose I were to begin by saying that I had fallen in
love with a color. Suppose I were to speak this as though
it were a confession; suppose I shredded my napkin as we
spoke. It began slowly. An appreciation, an affinity. Then,
one day, it became more serious
. Then (looking into an
empty teacup, its bottom stained with thin brown excre-
ment coiled into the shape of a sea horse) it became some-
how
personal.
