![]() Eh, with all the hullabaloo surrounding the movie, I kinda got in the mood to read the book. Never seen the movie and I really don't care to, but this is obviously a great piece of American literature.

Got about half way through this and then just stopped reading:
![]() I really liked the self-deprecating humor in the first few chapters, but as the book goes on it gets more and more into his personal philosophy/theology and there are more and more theological/philosophical references. It becomes a rather difficult and tedious read. I found myself turning to google more and more as the chapters went on. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday. I was hoping for more of a storyline, honestly. I recently started rereading this: Probably my favorite book by him. Even better on a second read. If they had us read this type of stuff in high school I would've taken up reading sooner. |

I could relate to Patty a lot with her relationship with Walter & her fascination with Richard Katz, I've been there way too many times myself. Quote:
I'm reading this: ![]() I've had a few false starts with other books but I was hooked after the first page, her prose is so beautiful and musical it makes for a really easy read. |

The new Grisham book Untamed. I am off my Non-Fiction and wanted something stupid to read. Grisham fits the bill.
