You really need to read that yesterday. I read it the first time as a kid and it blew my mind. It's great in general but if you're a kid it's the sci fi book.

Anybody doing any Bloomsday related activities? The Rosenbach Museum in Philadelphia (which also holds the original handwritten manuscripts of Ulysses) conducts readings alongside all the Irish pubs, which basically involves a delightful day of booze, food and Joycean puns. Not to be missed!
It also seems like a good opportunity to attempt a tour de force of Ulysses, my previous one taking 4 days to finish (without skipping a line), and one which I hope to topple this time around. Last edited by Hitch; 06-15-2013 at 09:38 AM. |
