I actually tried to read 50 Shades once and it was a horrible experience, not even just the content but the way it's written is horrid.

Plus the tampon scene

I keep hearing that it's a terribly written book. I've thought about reading it just for ****s and giggles, but I've been scarred by Fanfiction.net in the past and am leery of putting myself through that kind of irritation again. Is it really that bad?

And yaoi only refers to anime fanfiction. Otherwise it's called slash. Yuri being femslash. God, why do I remember that?
