Continuing on my streak of classics that I've never read before. Pretty good so far. The last time I read anything by Steinbeck I wasn't really at an age where I noticed the style of people's prose as much, but I'm finding the style of the writing in this book interesting. It's simple and unadorned writing. Honestly it sometimes feels a little like something written for children. Not that that's a bad thing, just interesting. |

I just finished reading that one last week. A lot happened in the third book, so I won't spoil anything. I will say that I was quite pleased when I saw that my copy of the fourth book is only 1254 pages rather than 1697 that was the third.
