I apologize for the small picture, it was the best Google Image could do. The novel is called Fallen Angel written by William Hjortsberg. It's kind of a hybrid of old hardboiled detective but with a slight supernatural twist and some horror thrown in for good measure. Very well written and quite unique, or at least it was for the time (It was published in 1978). It's one of those hidden gem dollar store books you buy because the cover looks intriguing. Problem is the book is out of publication, so used bookstores are the only way to go. |

I'm doing well, I'll be even better when my online criminal justice class is over tomorrow and I can actually start enjoying my summer. School has pretty much been my life since January as I try and plow my way through this degree in order to join a police academy next year.
I see nothing much has changed here give or take a few new mods and members. |

The last two books I read were World Without End by Ken Follett and The Road by Cormac McCarthy (the same guy who wrote No Country for Old Men). I really enjoyed both of those. My literary taste really doesn't venture too far from what's required for school so these two were kind of a big deal for me. Anyways, currently i've started Stephen King's The Stand which is supposed to be a modern classic and so far it's lived up to being so. Really cool setting and in-depth characters.
