Animal Farm is great literature. Orwell has a way of using imagery in his words to really move you. One of my favorites of the classics we had to read in school.

Just lying in bed leafing through this. Some epically brilliant photos etc. Don't know if it would be possible to read cover to cover but a serious coffee table book.

Read Galapagos and Bluebeard by Vonnegut, not the strongest pieces of his canon but enjoyable nonetheless. Moving on to hard core sci-fi - Dan Simmons - Hyperion.

Read some of his previous Pilgrims books. Haven't read Hyperion but its considered one of the best and did win the Hugo sci-fi award. Should be a good read.
