Not sure if I already posted this, but I saw the nutcracker at Christmas and got inspired to read some pre-WWI stuff. Interesting book overall so far, written in an almost a A People's History of Europe style.

A collection of Anton Chekov's short stories. Very good so far. I'm begining to understand why so many writers cite him as an influence.

This, too. I didn't think I'd understand it, but it's going good right now. If I were to just dive into the middle of the book I'd be so confused. Mr. Hawking does a good job of introducing us to the basic concepts before hitting us with black holes and uncertainty principles. Also, it's illustrated!
