I'm going to start Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. After that's finished I will start The Last Exit to Brooklyn by Hurbert Selby Jr.

Ringworld—Larry Niven
On my continuing sci-fi kick. This is great, super-geeky, very strange stuff. I'm almost done and really enjoying it.

Wow...I just read the synopsis for this one on wiki and it looks awesome! I'm going to put it on my to-read list now. It's part of a series though, right? Have you read any of the other books?

i never read The Fountainhead....but i did read Atlas Shrugged and some manifesto...The Romantic Manifesto i believe....i disagree with a good portion of her "philosophy" and agree with other points she makes....one thing i can defiantly say about her is that she really was a talented writer

Yeah, well her writing style is what really got to me. When I read Atlas Shrugged, I actually agreed with her politics to a certain extent (I was going through a teenage-angst phase, not thinking clearly, etc.), but her writing style completely put me off. I see Atlas Shrugged as the product of an author attempting to write a political piece via literature. As a result her characters are dry and the whole thing is extremely melodramatic, not to mention it rambles for 1000+ pages. It basically suffers from the same flaws that come with political propaganda and state censorship. Fountainhead is definitely a better literary work, but still nothing particularly amazing in my opinion. In addition her ideology is pretty horrendous.
