Actually I like Bukowski a lot too. I have not seen that book you posted before - Crumb has illustrated a few of his works though, right? The two go together perfectly |

This book is actually a collection of his journal entries from his later years - the last entry is about a year before his death, and it's really sad to read, really. I do enjoy his poetry and fiction, actually prefer it, but this was an interesting read nonetheless. A lot of people make Bukowski out to be a complete ******* and a monster, but he was really just human and coping with things in his own way. When reading his stuff, that shines through. |

**** haters, Bukowski rules. "so you want to be a writer" is one of the best poems ever written & Ham on Rye is ****ing hilarious I'm reading ![]() I'm not sure whether I like it or not, I must, because I keep reading it with interest. It just seems rather boring but still has a lot of good **** in it. Ah well ![]() and this, I just started on this but I like it so far |

![]() ![]() I've wanted to read it for a long time, because I like her poetry. The pace is seemingly very slow so far, but it's not too bad. I haven't really formed an opinion yet but I do like the way she writes. |
