You're right though. Not worthy of a recommendation. But I can't curse time spent reading, even if it is trash.

BTW, good review. I was glad to see you hated it without being pretentious. Seriously. It's a difficult feat.
hey thanks! all my writings on that one were geniune rage.

I've read 'Notes of a dirty old man' and 'Tales of Ordinary Madness' that both were really enjoyable ... Haven't read any of his novels, so I can't recommend any. They usually suggest that I read his two novels 'Pulp' and 'Factotum'.

Are 'Notes of a dirty old man' and 'Tales of Ordinary Madness' collections of poems, then? I'm not into poetry...prefer novels. I placed a hold on Factotum at the library earlier...who knows when I'll get it. Pulp sounds interesting too.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

'Notes of a dirty old man' is made of bunch of articles he used to write in his friend's newspaper, that he put together in a book. Basically, it's notes about and to himself (the dirty old man).

'Tales of Ordinary Madness' is a collection of short stories, mostly fictional.

Needless to say, I could use some recommendations next time I pick out a book to read.
