I just finished that a couple of days ago. I do agree it is highly overrated, but it is still a great book. I really like how Holden calls everyone else a phony yet he is just as phony himself. Not to mention J.D. Salinger is a hermit and watches over the publishers shoulder to see when his next pay check will be.
Anyways I am now reading Moby Dick and I am going to read Paradise Lost after I finish it. |

I can see where you would think that, cause there are definitely better books out there. But I wouldn't discredit it just because there are huge fanatics out there.
