It's about rogue killer animal robots...

Sounds like something Vertigo would run, I'll see if Barnes & Noble or Boarders carry it.

Or you could just download it before you buy it...

If it's a Vertigo printing then I'll take a chance. They printed Transmetropolitan and Preacher so they've earned my trust.

Speaking of Warren Ellis, I'm in the middle of Nextwave. Shit is funny. Couldn't get into Transmetropolitan but I have Preacher queued...(:

Transmetropolitan can be a very busy series. I've read it four times now and every time I pick up on new things in the background that I never noticed before, however I like this because it gives the series some serious re-reading credibility. If you like Ellis then I would highly recommend you check out his series on Image Comics called Fell. The artwork is done by Ben Templesmith (of 30 Days of Night fame) and there's only 1 collection so it's a quick read. Very well written, I've lent it to 6 people now and they all loved it.

Just finished Coldheart Canyon by Clive Barker and have moved on to High Fidelity by Nick Hornby.
