Read most of How to Make Love Like a Porn Star by Jenna Jameson, which was compellingly trashy, but couldn't be bothered finishing it. It's the sort of book which leaves a bad taste in your mouth even if you enjoy it.
![]() In the last few hours I got through The Restraint of Beasts, which is a sort of working class black comedy, great read, was actually shortlisted for The Booker. Hilariously deadpan in the way the scenario grows more and more absurd without the understated tone ever wavering. I didn't like the clipped ending though. Having a super lazy day so I'm about to start on Les Miserables. |

An absolutely amazing book, Savannah.
Currently, and I'm a little ashamed to say this, I've taken a liking to the Southern Vampire Mysteries series that the TV show Trueblood is based off of. Much better than the disgusting Twilight series (that and the bitch stephanie whatever her name is ripping Harris off on almost all her ideas). |

^ To be honest, you can't really rip off any other author when it comes to vampire stories. Because every single vampire writer is getting their material from ancient vampire folklore or very early stuff like Dracula.
But yeah, Twilight is just an appalling excuse for vampire fiction. I haven't read the Southern Vampire Mysteries but I've heard that Trueblood isn't that great. I'm into lots of oldschool vampire stuff but maybe I'll check it out nevertheless. |

Dan Brown - Digital Fortress
I'm having a breather from books that are more hard work and speeding through this. Should finish it off tonight. I've read The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons a long time ago so I thought I'd give this a try. Decent page turner as usual. |
