Just got this in the mail the other day, my friend recommended it to me as one of his favorite RPG game. I bought the PC game "Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines" off Steam a few weeks ago, but have not been able to get it to play because it runs in 32 and my PC is 64.

I'm reading nothing but my damn ECON test. It sucks.

Bloodlines is possibly the greatest game of all time if you can get past the bugs... On that, bugs FUCKING galore... Hint - Get the constantly updated unofficial patch from wesp5 (You'll find him at Gamebanshee forums at least)

Seriously fuggin' awesome game... It may feel a bit easy if you pick the right way, but few better RPGs nowadays with atmosphere galore. Theres also an 'optional' patch in which Wesp has added a whole bunch of content the actual programmers never put in the final product.

Fuck Sierra for forcing the game out onto shelves to try and maximise profits :(

Though - I have never read the RPG books - that is because I assumed they were always just 'guides' for the roleplaying stuff.

Give me an update on what its like like, may have to invest ;)

While that's not totally untrue, there is a fair amount of stories in there, to show you if you decide to be a GM (game master) on what you could do. There's also a large amount of pictures, some of which are really well done.

Might have to give it a looksee... Why can't you play Bloodlines exactly?

If you're not interested in actually playing the game, you can use the books as a guide for writing your own story. It's essentially what you do when you play the game, except you don't have to do all the work as the players dictate the actions around you and you just have to make sure it's within the limits of the rules. However they are fun, and the publisher "White Wolf" has a great selection and writing

Anyhow, whenever I try and run Bloodlines I get an Engine Error message saying "Available memory less than 15MB!!! - 270934016

I've found a patch for it, but I'm not exactly sure how or where to put it in my game because while I do love my PC gaming, I'm not very good at the technical side.

Hmmm that sucks... I ain't good at that side of things either... I can fiddle with things, but thats about the extent of my expertise :p:

Anyway, I suggest you ask around in regards to actually finding a way to play it. Very rewarding.

Roleplaying games like that have always seemed weird to me... Well not weird but impossible personally... I don't get how the fighting works or anything :p: But it doesn't help that I am not too imaginitive.
