I tried listening to an audiobook of All the pretty horses by McCarthy but couldn't get into it at all. I don't think I'll be trying that again.

I've moved on to Crime and punishment by Dostoyevsky.

I've found that audio books are good for comedy books and for non-fiction, but lit just doesn't work for me. I have a couple David Sedaris books and He's hilarious.

Agreed. A good example would be any Christopher Moore book. Also, I feel lazy when I'm at home listening to an audio book. I think they're more for long road trips.

I really want to read Lamb. It seems to be the one book that I've been putting off reading forever.

Lamb is easily his best in my opinion. I've read everything else of his besides "You Suck".

Was originally intended as a source for my research paper, but it's a good read.

Funny you say that because I'm in the same boat! : x

I've only read a few of his books, but any time my friends talk something up, it gets pushed back in my mind as overrated. Terrible assumption, I know, but I can't help it! I got a chapter into Lamb and put it down because I had way too many expectations. It starts slow and is suppose to get better, but I'm lazy and have been under Kundera's spell. I'm a few pages shy of finishing The Farewell Party. Not as good as Unbearable, but still classic Kundera.
