Education And Ecstacy by George B. Leonard. Just finished Villa Incognito by Tom Robbins... which was awesome, like pretty much everything he writes.

Tom Robbins is an underrated genius.

Still reading Ass Saw the Angel, Euchrid would be a great name for a band.

I think it's a fantastic read and not overly scholary. It does however speed through the dark ages pre 700 A.D which is my favourite period of British history. 'In Search Of The Dark Ages' by Michael Wood (which accompanied the BBC series) is a great read too.

All the books i did a search on had different dates, from 3000BC to around 1600AD

I just finished two books..

Life After Genius by Ann Jacoby
The Delivery Man by Joe McGinniss Jr.

Hated them both.

Right now I'm reading Eight Men Out by Eliot Asinof. Now this is a ****ing book! I love biographies, especially sports biographies. Within the past year I've read ones on Roberto Clemente, Ted Williams, Lou Gehrig, and now the 1919 Black Sox. These people are fascinating... I think Roberto Clemente was the most interesting so far-- I'd definitely recommend the David Maraniss book... if any of this is your cup of tea, of course.
