Erm... why can't I get to the last page? I know it's there! Anyways...
The Option Reader #1 - We Rock So You Don't Have To. It's a collection of articles from the Option spanning the timeline of real alternative rock. It's got a bunch of bands ranging from Nirvana to Patti Smith to Jesus & Mary Chain to Pavement. A definite must read for anyone that likes that music, but I'm not really sure where you might be able to find it. I couldn't even find the cover online... It's great so far though. I'm also working my way through Paradise Lost, I've never read it before and it's been holding my attention. |
I just finished The Rock Pillow by Lynne Folkard, an account of her years as a homeless schizophrenic. The writing is terrible, but it's quite harrowing nonetheless.
Started on Budding Prospects by T.C Boyle. It's okay so far, I thought it was a comedy but that isn't really his focus. |
"Sound Advice on Compressors, Limiters, Expanders & Gates" by Bill Gibson.

Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury
The first part, what I image was the original short story - The fireman, is very good. But the added bit just feels forced and unconvincing. 1984 blows it out of the water. |
Frankly I think the entire book is ****, I could barely finish it.

Nearly finished ----- and the ass saw the angel by Nick Cave

Behold The Man - Michael Moor**** As much as I prefer the Elric sagas over the majority of Moor****'s written material, this novel is simply fantastic. A neurotic psychiatrist travelling back in time to Palestine and encountering a Jesus who isn't all he seems....great stuff. |
