So far it's ok, but I'm not sure if I'll stick around for the entire series...(10 books altogether).

Has anybody read The Sword of Truth series?

just finsihed norwegian wood today, now i'm starting kafka on the shore by haruki murakami.

Starting up on the Idiot finally and I'm also rereading 1984 for the first time since 9th grade.

I'm too scared to go near it, I lurked a book forum a while ago and Goodkind was universally acknowledged as a talentless hack pushing an objectivist agenda.

I've got the first book on audio. I've not luistened to it for a while. I'm only about a quarter of the way in. The narrator is one of the worst I've heard, coupled witht he fact that Goodkinds writing is iritating it really makes for a har time. Add that to the fact that just before it I had read the Dark tower series which is written infinitely better.

How do you find audiobooks in general?

I've never used one and I'm not sure if I would like them or not, it seems to me like the level of immersion might suffer if I was forced to progress at a set pace.

I like audiobooks, if the narrator is half decent, as I like to listen whilst in bed or when driving or walking etc.

A Purple Place for Dying - John D. Macdonald
Third in the series, so far they're the best damn novels I have ever read.

Hard-Boiled Wonderland at the End of the World - Haruki Murakami

Read "Kafka on the Shore" and I've heard this book is da' bomb so yeah. :D

Re-reading The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. At the moment I'm reading the 4th book; The Tale of the Body Thief.
Not the best one in the chronicle...
