The Penal Colony by Franz Kafka. Shaping up to be much better than all the other Kafka I've read yet...

Can't recommend yet as I'm not far enough in, but I'm reading Les Miserables by Victor Hugo to see how it differs to the musical, which is probably the only opera I can get on with.

The movie is terrible terrible though.

It was a bookstore find, not a recommendation for me, looked to good to pass up. I'm only to page 30 but I'm confused as hell already. a Clockwork Orange was the same way early on but once I got used to the language and writing style it was really great.

I read Everything is Illuminated several moths ago, and I just started this yesterday. Johnathon Safran Foer is becoming one of my favorite authors, I hope he writes another novel soon.
