And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

This brings back memories

I used to collect pokemon cards back when I was about 8. I was obsessed wioth having a complete collection and playing other people for their cards.
I think I was about 11 when I stopped playing and collecting altogether.

I do still have a nice collection of digimon cards as well though.

After season three the show went downhill considerably

My only problems with Pokemon is that by Season three Ash had a new outfit and i sent various designs to the stuiod that produced Pokemon and no matter what team Rocket's outift remained the same.
I aslo didn't like how predicatble the show was. Ine evry episode, team rocket fails at an attempt to caputre Ash's Pikachu or any other pokemon for that matter.
It gets to be kinda old.
And I hate that Brock has been relaced. And Misty should be shot eveyr so often. Her character often annoys me despite how much I love her charcater.

I don't anymore but I see some semblance of these anime a lot. In arcades, some music stores, other countries . . . .
And I still do send in new team Rocket designs every now and then
