i hate that film.

& the directing was so tardy... they spent AGES focusing on the boring everyday stuff, then when huge monumental things happened, they spent five seconds on it & moved on.
AND, i couldnt understand a bloody word that titwank heath ledger was saying.

*not impressed*.
obviously i don't agree...i was blown away by the film....but obviously my viewpoint is very different.....

but i did think ledger's acting was a bit annoying...there was no need for him to speak that way....

I thought it was a great movie, well-directed and well-acted. I couldn't believe that was Heath Ledger, the only movie I remember seeing him in before Brokeback is A Knight's Tale.

He co-co-executive co produced it... In other words he had nothing to do with it and only agreed to put his name on it so people would actually pay to see it.

It worked.

Yeah, what's funny is how everyone thinks that if Quentin Tarantino's name is on it, he directed it. So when it came out, I had a ton of people coming up to me (I am, or was, generally known as obsessed with movies) and saying, "OMG QUENTIN TARANTINO'S DOING A HORROR MOVIE!!!! THIS IS GONNA BE SO COOL!!!" I didn't even bother explaining that he had nothing to do with making it, they probably wouldn't have listened or just ended up thinking I was a bigger movie nerd.

it could have been an excellent film. i loved the storyline, they just did a really crap job of getting it across.

well, maybe it was just my friends' faults for making me drink through the film, i did kinda lose interest a bit.. & mebbe my mum shouldnt have told me the whole story before i saw it, but... still.

it was weird.

youve got to admit, they spend way too long on the everyday things, & not enough on the huge lifeturning events.

but eh, im glad you agree with the heath ledger thing though.

i had to use feckin SUBTITLES for half the film.

tell me you're not one of those people that can't take a bit of drama...drama as in it's not an action flick and every other scene isn't bursting with explosions and car chases.....i can be just as interested in everyday things and events, especially when they were of the "brokeback" ilk...the way the love story developed i found very intriguing, and realistic...
