..I suck with horror films.
It's not too scary!
I watched it alone in the dark too and I larfed for most of it.
The only thing i didn't like was that they used the actual photos from the real case, y'know with the kids shot in the bed :[

Last movie I saw was Clueless :D
I loved that t.v show as a kid!

I know I know, Im really bad with scary films.
But I love em all the same.
This wasnt that bad, its just cause I was on my own, and slightly intoxicated so technically its not all my fault..
But JEEZ that first bit with the little girl?
Gosh..

I love the Amitty films...mainly because it was based on a true story.

I was OBSESSED with these films a year ago. I went on a reasearch binge. And I had a whole freaking folder filled with information on the Amittyville case. I even had the arrest records of the guy that killed the family [one of the one family members, Defeo Jr...or something]. It's all so interesting. I was writing a book and everything haha. I have no life. I EVEN EMAILED GEORGE! [I forget his last name now...] but he's the guy who was there, the dad. He has his own website, etc...was on TV channels interviewed. He emailed me back actually, but he didn't want to do an interview haha.

The only part of that movie that was true, was the son who murdered his entire family. And that is not what the Hollywood Version focuses on, the part that the movie focuses on, is the family who moved in after the murders. Every single claim that the family made about 'demons' and 'spirits' were completely false. The woman who lived in the house, and made the claims, admitted they were false, and she made a ton of money off it.
