I'm sure I'd have loved it if the story had been interesting and they'd employed a few people who could act to play the characters.

Maybe I'm a little harsh but it is the most banal film my ex ever dragged me to see. Twice.

Imonlydancing 11-24-2005 02:00 PM

I think its a good film.
I think different people interpret it differently.

franscar 11-24-2005 02:02 PM

Could've been that she didn't put out in the cinema.

*shrugs*

Either way, not as good as Ghostbusters.

Imonlydancing 11-24-2005 02:05 PM

eee.
Ghostbusters!

(You live in Birmingham. I was there the other day)

franscar 11-24-2005 02:06 PM

Woo. I'm here everyday.

Where were you, and what were you doing?

Imonlydancing 11-24-2005 02:30 PM

I was in the NIA for british indoor rowing championships...
cool...nottt....

franscar 11-24-2005 02:32 PM

The last time I was in the NIA I was watching Gladiators being filmed. I met Wolf.

There you go, that's less cool than rowing.

Imonlydancing 11-24-2005 02:38 PM

Haha...Yes...Sure.
Oh well.
I did okay. (10th out off 80 or something)
It was cool.
Anyways...back to movies...
New Harry Potter?
Anyone seen it?

crimepartner 11-28-2005 12:06 PM

Full metal jacket was pretty good. It made me pretty mad when they beat gomer pile with soap.

michael clark duncan was really good in the green mile, but after seeing it once it loses its feel.

bungalow 11-28-2005 03:58 PM

Man on Fire.....equally awesome

Laces Out Dan! 11-28-2005 05:01 PM

Merkaba 11-28-2005 09:51 PM

Man On Fire isn't too bad. I can't remember it very well but I know I thought it was good.

Laces Out Dan! 11-28-2005 10:58 PM

Im not sure whether i likes Manchurian Candidate more

Merkaba 11-28-2005 11:11 PM

Whats the latest one with Bruce Willis in it? He's like a negotiator policeman who spends the movie surrounding this mansion with a dad and 2 kids, and three nutcases holding the place hostage.

I liked that movie, thought it was very cool.

Laces Out Dan! 12-18-2005 08:54 PM

Well today i watched the Aviator and i watched Enemy at the gates.....man Jude Law owns

bungalow 12-18-2005 08:58 PM

I saw Aviator.
It was a waste of 3 hours of my life.
Three hours I could have spent on MB while its getting spammed to hell by myg0tters.... :]

mosesandtherubberducky 12-18-2005 09:00 PM

I went to myg0t.com to see what that website was all about and they get PICTURES in their sig's....I want a picture in my sig. that is all I remember about there except it was very cold and smelled like crusty mac and cheese.

Merkaba 12-18-2005 10:00 PM

The Aviator certainly was boring but some good Special Effects.

MURDER JUNKIE 12-18-2005 10:03 PM

Sin City - in a word "AMAZING"

The Bad Lieutenant - If you want to see Harvey Kietel put on a dramatic Tour De Force this is your movie

TheBig3 12-18-2005 10:04 PM

I watched Blow yesterday. I don't know why it didn't hit me the first time, but no movie has ever punctured my rib cage and stabbed my heart as well as Blow did.

I look foreward to the day when I can have kids, I've hated that my parents even married and had kids because their aweful lives were projected on my and my Brother, and thats all Blow is.

Sure, its got Drug deals in it as well, but the understory, about a man who wants to do whats right, for their kids, for the woman they love. Its brutal, and Johnny Depp delivers another crushing performance.

Im sure it matters to me more because I had some personal stake in it, but its message of corruption by love, it speaks to me on several levels, of loving what you can't have at the cost of destroying everyting else, the love of money, and the love of kids.

I want to have kids someday, I'd like to be a father, this movie scares the **** out of me, knowing its possible to never see you kid, to make them endure you fighting with a person you love, to have them growing up hating you when all you wanted to do was give them everything.

Its not a movie about cocaine with an awesome soundtrack, its a movie that is about the human condition.

mosesandtherubberducky 12-18-2005 10:08 PM

I had to watch a movie based on The Odessey by Homer for school Friday. I have yet to read the epic poem but I've heard that it is good. Then the movie looks like a cheap porno that had a director that was too scared to show any of the actual porn scenes. It was two and a half hours long too. But what gets me still is that they can show a movie that has half-naked women in it the whole time at a public school but they can't show Montey Python and the Holy Grail.

either/or 12-20-2005 01:55 AM

Ahah, I remember I saw that when I was about 9, traumatised by David Bowie in the skintight clothes and such... He made a very convincing Goblin King though.. Good film :)

IamAlejo 12-28-2005 03:55 PM

American History X (the whole storyline basically shows how crap racism is yet racists seem to grasp on to this movie too....but no bitch i'm not racist)

Full Metal Jacket (the movie is good, the boot camp scenes are classic though)
