That's what I was thinking...scary. The oompa loompas in the old one were somewhat teddybearish......these were, like you said, old men in spandex *trys to find the laughing emoticon*

Also, they missed a lot of good one-liners said by Gene in the original.

Yeah that movie rocks. I watched Usual Suspects today and was reminded about how sweet that movie is. Also I'm sure it's been mentioned but Snatch kicks ass as well.

before sunrise, before sunset, requiem for a dream, heat, eyes wide shut, one flew over the cuckoos nest, waking life, and some other stuff are all great. and to above post, i didnt like elephant at all, to me it was a real uneccasary movie, and i was not a fan of the *** kissing scene.

For Comedies I like anything with Will Farell in it, esp. Old School and Anchorman, I laughed my ass off when I saw both of them the 1st time. Office Space is a classic, as is Happy Gilmore. I'm not too impressed with Sandler these days, I think he is lame. Also movies with Ryan Reynolds; Buying the cow, Van Wilder, and it hasnt came out yet but I saw it in the theatre, Waiting. Some other comedies are Caddyshack, Stealing Harvard, Sorority Boys, Half Baked, **** theres alot more I can't think right now. Ben Stiller movies too are great for the most part, Zoolander, Meet the parents/fockers. And also Rob Schneider films too, like Duece Biggalow and such.
Also the 40 year old virgin is hilarious, I got it for Christmas and still laugh at parts of it...
