I hear the afterlife is straight fire. Even in death this forum won’t really die.

True, but the people that are still here are rather dedicated and you still get content.
A lot of people do "leave" and come back from time to time.
It's true, though, it's tough to find good places for discussion online anymore, which is sad.

Many people from Music Banter have migrated to SCD, mattrixs.
There's a link on the first page of this thread if you'd like to join us there.

Definitely. Everywhere just seems to want to be an echo chamber.

Surely, what mattrixs says is one thing, and what you say, BassoonPlatoon, is another ?

I have no idea if both or either of those statements are true, because what do I know about "people" or "everywhere". All I like to do is chat online about music - for years Music Banter was active, then the action seemed to shift to Something Completely Different. Maybe it's me, but now both places seem to have hints of this song playing gently in the background:-

Or, after you've been posting and have had a cup or two of coffee:

HaHa! Or if you are feeling nostalgic for a classic era of pop:-

One thing the pre-psychedelic Beatles did really well was to sing about ordinary peoples' experiences, with natural language that gives a kind of effortless, conversational quality to their lyrics:-

Quote:
I tried to telephone
They said you were not home
That's a lie
'Cause I know where you've been
And I saw you walk in
Your door
I nearly died
I nearly died
'Cause you walked hand in hand
With another man
In my place
