Man, 2003 being 20 years ago is messing with me.

Isn’t the actual anniversary at the end of the year?

20 years and what have we to show for it? Shattered lives, broken dreams, hepped up on goofballs, men and women who were once proud and strong and confident now shambling through dark alleys muttering things like "MBV best album of all time" or "I'll give ye ****ing Beatles GOAT OMG you little ****-"

Sad. Very sad. So much wasted time, so many lives destroyed. Learn from our example, kids. It's so easy to wander off the lighted path into the dark, encroaching shadows and be lost forever...

I can’t believe I’ve only not been here for 5 years

And to think I found this place after the forum I posted on from 2003-2008 went dark, that’s 20/33 life years total I’ve socialized mainly online about music. Lucky thing the internet reached Wyoming.

I joined in Feb of 2015. I performed an overhaul of all my browser bookmarks a few weeks ago - hundreds of links to various web forums, music blogs, and resources for exploration. Tragically, I found that nearly all of the links were dead. Forums and sites had shut down and domains had been purchased by resellers. I'm glad to see that MB is still active in 2023. Thank you everyone who contributes to the conversation here.
