There was no joke. It was just an arbitrary reference meant to mean nothing. I loved it too though. Most other places on the internet I've taken to using Dharma McGregor.

I googled "cute anime girl swastika" for lulz. The mods denied me due to fascism. It wasn't even that long ago. Like two or three years ago. I own and support all of this to this day.

Before MB, I'd been a part of a couple of other gaming related communities. Joining up on MB and getting integrated into the little prog gang that was here introduced me to so much music and nice people. I was living temporarily alone in the high arctic at the time, completely by myself in the endless dark of the polar night. I was plugged into my earbuds all day, so the cold and dark got contrasted to the jolly sounds of Caravan and other bands as I got completely immersed in Canterbury scene and other recommendations. Looking back, it was a weird time in my life and probably the most fun I've ever had on a forum.
