That's fair. Don't know much about Planton on a personal level, but he's generally a straight shooter. If he got some great news, he probably would've said so.

It's now obvious that Plankton won the lottery, but subscribes to SGR's policy: He's quit MB before he gets a flood of PM's begging for money.

More seriously, that's the curious thing about MB - we are friends but not friends. With my IRL friends it is unthinkable that any one of us would just stop cold without us calling to check up, etc. But hey, this is the internet and we know going in that it's ok to just pull the plug on MB. There is a whole thread that illustrates my learning curve on this principle:-

I don't care about speculation but calling it attention seeking behavior is a silly logical leap.

Plank didn't ask anyone to stop posting in his regard so let's stop implying that wondering aloud about the guy is against some sort of forum or moral rules.
When you start encouraging people to invade his privacy that goes beyond just posting.

Man, the way you get from Point A to Point B in your brain is really ****ed up sometimes.

I asked if anyone here was his friend in the real world.
And if someone was, could they reach out to the guy.

Somehow that came out as picking through his trash to you. WTF dude!?!?!?

^ Aah! I did wonder why you posted that song, rostasi. Far too subtle for me to get it first time round.

I don't see how calling it attention seeking behavior isn't just another form of speculation.

But my main point is that there are different ways you could word something like this that would get different types of results. Whether it's intentional or not, the way he worded it seemed engineered to provoke precisely this kind of speculation and attention. Someone who wanted to keep things low key and didn't want the attention likely wouldn't word it like that imo.

Yup.
If/when he shows up again I plan on getting in his face for making that post.
Not ****ing cool at all to do among friends - even if it's just casual forum buds.

Ok well that's your fight lol cause I didn't say all that

I don't think it's "not cool" I just think it invites exactly what I described. It could be he doesn't want to talk about it but he does want some amount of sympathy or concern for it. That's not even such a bad thing I'm just calling it how I see it.
