Yeah but come on. Jadis had been here a wet day. We all know he has no relationship with Plankton; I doubt the guy's even aware of him. It was obviously a joke, made, I should add, in very poor taste. But I'm surprised you all believed it. I knew the moment he said it that it was grade A bull.

Chula, you can't keep asking what's going on when posts before yours have made the point that Plankton's privacy is his, and then say you do you. You can't do you, not in this case, not unless you want to do it privately, in which case don't tell us. It's not our place to keep speculating, although I'm as guilty as others of doing that. Then again, I only made a veiled suggestion and was asked to clarify it, so I did. But we all know Plankton. If and when he wants to tell us what the issue is, he will. He might come back and say nothing about it, and that's his right. He might not come back, and we'll never know. We're all concerned but we also have to respect him as a person, and leave the speculation at that.

As for the rest of us, I can't believe Plank would want us to start taking things personally with each other so why don't we all take a deep breath and shake virtual hands. Because we're all in this thread for the same reason, out of concern for Plankton.

I'm sure Plank knew that people would wonder why he was leaving without explanation, and yet he still left without explanation, implying that he does not want to give an explanation and does not want us hiring a private detective to dig through his trash.

If you're gonna stop posting then just stop. You might change your mind later and come back anyway. It's almost like the only reason to do that is precisely to get this kind of attention. So if something bad actually happened to plankton or his loved ones I feel bad for him for that. But I don't feel at all bad for speculating etc nor was I ever particularly friendly with him when he did post. It would have taken me a while to notice he was gone.

Is that what a "social cue" is? Posting on an anonymous internet forum something that is, by design or not, attention-seeking and then... actually not sure what then, that's where it gets a bit hazy for me. Some cue.
