Luckily he contacted me, his good friend, on that other forum we're on together, and confided in me that it's an ankle monitor/SVU situation. So please stop with the irresponsible speculation. He's got enough problems as it is.

I think the worst thing we can do is assume something sinister. If Plankton wanted to let us know what was going on, he'd tell us. All we can really do is just hope the guy is okay and move on.

Just saw Jadis' post. There you go, he's probably only gone temporarily it sounds like. So maybe we give the guy some space?
