woke

Until about 3-4 years ago, "politically correct" or just "PC" would have been the pejorative to use. Are people getting so lazy they no longer want to say so many syllables?
I remember the PC movement all too well. In some ways they were just as bad as the right when it came to free speech. Professors actually lost their jobs if they dared to even slightly sway from the PC political line. You can't have a free society if you have to walk on eggshells all the time. Anyway there's a difference between a Proud Boy and some misinformed twit that thinks blacks can't swim. One means malice while the other, well, I guess lived in a different time. Anyway, the PC movement was never able to tell the difference between real racism (that indeed is out there) and someone having an opinion that didn't quite fit in with their philosophy.

Yeah my experience with PC was that it was the exact same fake moral panic as wokeness. Literally just slapped a new coat of paint on it.

No, it's about dismissing the goals of wokeness much like the ways they portrayed hippies for opposing the war.

I feel like most people are just cry babies that want the freedom to spread ****ty opinions with out allowing the freedom for others to critique it.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

I hear this in my head in Zoidberg's voice every single time I see this thread.

This is just what we need: a guy surely due to die soon who thinks everyone is lazy and that climate change isn't real. What a tool. Surely he could just dribble into his tomato soup and leave us all alone? He won't be here for much longer anyway; why does he think anyone cares what he thinks? When he was a young man, civil rights was just a thing people said and a jolly gentleman who was definitely not "woke" was just about to seize power in Germany... And of course he speaks on Fox News. How surprising.

He's just some random old guy nobody even knows about. The news are the ones tormenting you with his opinions. Other wise who gives a ****?

Yeah why care about old rich guys who pump cash into our system to make sure they stay rich and you stay under the boot? You're the real free thinker.
