Deepfakes
Are very disturbing. This one is one of the best I've seen.
And the technology is only getting better. :/

I assume that somewhat soon, we might get a new James Dean movie. Some actor's jobs may become more just being a canvas for an AI to put someone else's famous face over.

I personally like the technology for the memes. There's this guy on Youtube doing a hilarious series using deepfake technology about Joe Biden waking up in Skyrim and trying to find his way out (superimposing Joe's face on an actor, using an AI voice generator created on a knowledge base composed of Joe Biden's voice recordings). It's very obviously not an example of using deepfakes to make something convincing, but rather make something funny.
*Joe Biden, running away from a dragon* "There's gonna be some serious changes to the secret service after this..." |
