You ever tried to get change for a gold ingot? Cash Converters don't take 'em and the local 7/11 surely won't cash one. Go into a bank with one of them as a "needy" person and there'll probably be a click or two and you'll suddenly be surrounded by armed defenders of the law...

I've never even seen a gold ingot in real life. I am officially classified as a bastard, sorry I mean as poor. And also a bastard.

On a school excursion to the Melbourne mint we were shown a room full of gold ingots and told if anyone could carry one out they could have it. I doubt Arnie Schwartzneger could have lifted one.
