MB Writing Competition (Submission Deadline: November 1)
 

Let's do another writing competition y'all. There's no theme this round, so write a story, poem, screenplay, whatever by S̶e̶p̶t̶e̶m̶b̶e̶r̶ ̶3̶0̶t̶h̶ November 1 and send it to me via PM (if everyone's submissions haven't been posted yet, you most likely still have time). Once they're posted up we'll discuss them and vote on our favourite. The submissions will not be attributed but the guessing game won't be the goal of this round.

What are the guidelines, Frown? Max/min words, genre(s), and when you say submissions won't be attributed, do I take that to mean they're meant to be anonymous? If you're going to be discussing them won't that be hard to maintain, or are they only anonymous until the discussion starts?

No min or max but be reasonable.

The submissions will be posted anonymously but it doesn't have to stay that way once it's posted. I recommend people avoid being a dork about it and just discuss the submissions once they're up without worrying about losing a tangential guessing game.

I've got plenty of things going on currently and I just don't have time to write something in English that'd make sense and would actually be any good

No worries man. fwiw we're all amateurs so it doesn't have to be a masterpiece or anything (though I get wanting it to be great on a personal level).

How do we feel about a month-long extension?

Been busy with other things. I might write something in October so I'd be cool with it. You can come up with all kinds of things for Halloween.

Can i just submit the beginning of some story I'm writing? It's not done and won't be anytime soon , and will be too long for a competition like this once it is done tbh
