hahahahha it's funny to show up here all this time and elicit shock and awe. I was like 12 when I started posting here and now I am somehow 24 and got like a degree in electronics and split my time between living here in Canada and Germany. in some ways I have absolutely not changed.

There should really be an update thread for us old timers. I learned that Todd in the Shadows was an MB OG? Boo boo is back! (give us hell bbg sorry I don't answer my facebook messages ever) and I'm still not over Hermione's passing. Many memories contained here...

How is everyone?

Hi Dayvan! I remember you from way back; I always knew you were young, but I didn't know you were just 12 !! Congrats on growing up, then, plus congrats on a degree in electronics.

There isn't a specific thread for old-timers yet, though there is a thread which is like a catch-all of "Whatever happened to...?"

I wonder where you live in Germany? Me and Plankton have both spent some time in that country.

I have been in the Dusseldorf area mostly! I was pretty excited since Dusseldorf has such a rich musical history.... from the birth of krautrock to the Cybergoths under the bridge...

Where have you and Plankton been? Have you been to any theme parks? I went to Phantasialand, the rides were pretty epic but the whole place was weirdly racist l m a o.

I sometimes flew into Dusseldorf, most often on my way to Bielefeld, which is about 100 miles N E of D'dorf. Never went to a theme park, I'm afraid, or really picked up on any music scene while I was there. TBH, I think I might've looked a little out of place with those Cybergoths !!
Unlike Plankton, who worked in Germany for a year, I used to visit someone about 3 times a year over a period of six years or so. A couple of times we went up to Lübeck, up on the Baltic Coast, and also to Berlin, back in the days when the Wall was up, and the journey to get there was through old East Germany.

I’ve made multiple regular yearly trips to Germany for twenty years
and then the pandemic happened. Lovely country that isn’t as regressive
as this one (Amerikkka). The location of Kling Klang studios is a treat to
see in Düsseldorf - or can be.

Hey Dayvan! I remember you. Welcome back.

Rostasi, people were talking about you having left. As if. This is, after all, the equivalent of a black hole - nothing escapes from its pull....

Yeah, I did, but my twenty-two-year-old Cinema Display monitor went blank
and I’m waiting for a replacement classic 30” Cinema Display to show up
next week, so I’m temporarily not busy.

I don’t think I’ve spoke to you since the old days!

Wow that’s amazing, I love Germany. I actually tried to learn German last year but gave up when I lost my Duolingo streak .

I know there is so many memories. I wasn’t anywhere near as young as you but I was 17 when I started posting, I’m 30 now pretty sure I thought all the other guys were old af when I started posting and found out they were in their 30’s+

I’m great thank you, I’m still living in Scotland. Working for a bank (wtf) I got my own place with my boyfriend and we have a dog and a cat life is not too bad.

It’s nice to see you post and to hear you are getting on good

Compensating for lack of lasting nature in other respects, I see
