My dream since childhood was to be a musician – primarily a studio musician, as I was shy and could never envision myself being on stage. Other dreams (although not nearly as strong as being a musician) were to be a professional tennis player or figure skater; I did have some aptitude for both, but was never formally trained mainly due to lack of funds in our family.

I just wanted for nothing but the love of a Mother that was like my friends all had, my Sister got worse over time but she could handle it I was a very shy kid and just put up with it until I moved away not that I really got away from her... She died sometime in the last couple of years not sure exactly now as I can blank stuff like that, I never even thought about going to her funeral. Was not told even by my daughter when it was...
I wanted to play acoustic guitar and bought what I thought was a good starter one but was soon put straight as to the tuning issue. it did have a slight bend in the neck so the guy advising me said it was not worth the work he bought it off me though and I then got a cheap one, from would you believe Lidls supermarket about £40.00 and it was ok but really was not right for me size wise it was too bulky, so then gave that to a charity shop and bought an Epiphone make, still a cheap one really but the sound is good enough for my rough old playing..I enjoy, but do get annoyed with my poor ability to really make any headway. My sister met her late husband at guitar lessons and married him quite soon, once her divorce came through, so had all the help right on hand, literally. She is really good... Dreams now easy, stay fit and healthy.

My dreams? I just want to swim naked in a pool of whiskey, taking occasional breaks only to smoke my cigarettes. As the wisps of smoke lovingly leave my mouth, I want nothing but to be filled up with thoughts of regret, longing and nostalgia - meditations on what could have been but will never be.

And then I want to wash it all down with dirty martinis as I sit by a warm fireplace and read the Economist.

I'd need a similar alcohol intake before I'd voluntarily read the Economist as a means of relaxation. But you do you, it's definitely a more sensible dream than a punk band called Emergency Tampon

Cmon, aren't you interested in whether or not Indonesia is at a crossroad?

For five years now (which is pretty much my whole truly sentient life) I want to be a musician
The best thing that could happen is that I'd be the main composer/bandleader, or have a songwriting partner in an art rock, psychedelic pop band, with slight funk&soul elements

But when I was younger (like 7-15) I wanted to be a comic book artist
Now there ain't much left from that dream, apart from some comic books I still have that I wrote&drew, and occasional collage/drawings for my imagined album covers
