The environment is part of genetics? No. That’s like saying the body is part of the toenail.

If it can affect the gene code then yeah, it actually is.

But I guess it's a coincidence that things that live in water have genes to help them swim.

Now who's talking about phantom bull****? OH is. Stupid ass OH the chest beating gorilla man.

You realize your genetic material is located inside the cells that make up your body, don’t you? Obviously the cell nuclei are small physical components of the environment. The smaller object can be part of the bigger object but the bigger object cannot be part of the smaller object. The ocean isn’t part of the wave; the wave is part of the ocean.

Honestly, that’s a great example of what I mean when I say people don’t understand that it’s physical and purely physical.

your genes are set from birth

The only genes that form around your environment would be if you get cancer from radiation or something like that which scrambles the DNA in certain cells.

The way the environment affects you more broadly is by affecting how your genes express themselves into building your phenotype.

I think it's pretty misleading to say your genes are part of your environment. Environment infers something external to the organism. You're basically saying the organism itself is part of the environment which renders the term environment functionally meaningless.

Yes, and I'm saying the environment can have an effect on your cells.

Just because it's purely physical doesn't mean there isn't a difference between what's inherited and what's caused by environmental factors.

You just keep changing the phrasing of the semantics with out actually arguing against what's being said just like the free will thing except you just belligerently started saying "cause & effect" like an imbecile who's mad because they can't comprehend why they are wrong.

Do you recognize that there is a difference between inheriting and gaining traits? IF you don't find the difference significant it really doesn't matter.
