No. Keep the date and then ask her friend anyway. It's a gamble but usually girls are more interested when you have other options imo.

I wasn't planning on cancelling the date tbh. But I will def ask her friend later if the date goes not good well I assume it'll b good anyways but if I decide not to date her I mean.

Unless you see the date as a real prospect. If not then she's most valuable to you as a signifier to the main bitch that you have prospects.

I posed the question to solicit other perspectives and opinion, not to seek advice about my own situation. I offered a personal anecdote to get the ball rolling, as one does when posing such a question.
