I want a real computer.
Back to work. Trump bux. And presumably more unemployment back pay coming. Minus a cable bill. Can I get a new laptop for 2-3 hundred bucks that I could download movies tv shows and sports if they ever come back and watch Hulu or Netflix maybe. If so which one?
|
Drop a grand and buy a cheap gaming laptop so you can play Call of Duty.
|
3 hundred is the absolute most I can spend
|
Check Amazon or Best Buy or whatever.

Just make sure you can hook it up to ur tv, since it doesnt come with a monitor, or buy a cheapo monitor. For the search I did: https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100019...ange=100%20300 - Desktops https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100006...ange=100%20300 - Laptops |

That’s why I’m reaching my geriatric hand out for help |
Just by the best rated laptop in your price range on Amazon. It'll be all right for your old man needs.
|
Have you considered getting a tablet rather than a laptop?
|
I don’t even really know the difference
A tablet is smaller? |

A solid state drive (SSD) will have faster startup than a hard drive (HDD) and you'll want to get 256GB storage or higher. If you're getting something with HDD get 500gb storage or higher. Some cheap computers come without a disk drive for CDs and such or number key area on the keyboard, so if those are important to you be sure to check for that. There's my basic understanding. I would wait to see what Plank has to say if you want professional level advice though |

Too bad blog piracy isn't what it was or you wouldn't need Soulseek as much.
|
newalbumreleases.net is what's up
|
Do you want a bunch of free apps or the freedom of a computer?
I think that'd be the biggest thing to consider because both can stream netflix/spotify. I have an old refurbed ipad, its slow af and i dont really enjoy it, but it sure is nice to lay down at night with a small screen and watch youtube or a show. |

Laptop prices are insane
WTF??? idk - it doesn’t seem like the tablet can do anything much more than my phone after reading the Q&A |
Toshiba is a good lower-cost brand. You can look into used or refurbished options, although I think unless you're getting something very old it'll still cost you more than $300
|
Preciate it
I’m starting to think a phone does plenty anyway The only thing I really pay for is sports |
and seriously
**** sports |
You could always go for a Chromebook. They're not the best. They're basically a small laptop running Google Chrome. Can't do Soulseek cause the only thing you can install are Google apps. But they're better than a phone and go for around $300. You can do Torrents though. There's a Torrent app that's like a demo where you can only do 20 Torrents before you have to pay for an upgraded version but you can literally just uninstall it and reinstall it and get 20 more Torrents, rinse, repeat.

Every kid in our school had a chromebook
