I'm waiting to see if Congress decides to cover my sick leave and then I'm giving it a few days before calling out of work for two weeks. Don't want to look suspicious.

I don’t have any symptoms (doesn’t mean I don’t have it) but I’m staying home regardless. 99% of my job can be done from home

Fingers crossed. If they shut down all restaurants (like they probably should) there will potentially be chaos if they’re not making sure people still get money for food. Literally riots would ensue otherwise

Just got a message from my boss: school closed until further notice. I'm very glad that I'm a kind of semi-permanent employee and have a contract. I should be paid until mid-May. I fear the majority of teachers here, paid on a strictly hourly basis, may not be so lucky.

I'm lucky that most of my work can be done at home online because there is no sick pay.
