The gym has a vaccine pass policy plus there's a very high rate of vaccination where I am rn. So it's likely perfectly safe, but I still feel a certain unease knowing that these are the conditions that are literally ideal for spread.
Personally, I wouldn't take the risk, jadis, even though I'm (double) vaccinated. But then I'm (i) super cautious and (ii) prefer outdoor exercise.
MB can probably put you in touch with a disc golf player if you want

Tried doing the outdoor thing during lockdowns, dunno. You walk, you do some push-ups, maybe kick a soccer ball against the wall, end up feeling stupid and go back inside...

For all the limitations of the gym (I remember thinking I was pretty fit for years cause I kept up with it, and then trying to play soccer with guys in the park and finding out I'm like barely mobile and forgot how to make sudden motions), it does keep your back healthy and other things I need as someone leading a sedentary lifestyle.

I guess I'll get some weights online or something (not terribly useful since the entire idea of lifting is that you can adjust and increase the weights but marginally better than nothing I guess).

I got 2 of these, 24kg each, great for saving space. There is a heavier option but for me they are ok to maintain some level of fitness.

Coupled with a bench and a dip station a la:

I am quite happy, you can do quite a lot of things. Beats doing just bodyweight pushups and lunges at home anyway.

Meh, I get all the exercise I need by jumping to conclusions, stretching the truth, running out of patience and lifting my eyebrows. That does me.

Haha! One of your best Trollheart! You forgot "spinning yarns" and "weighing options" but perhaps they are not part of your regular workout.

Where I live, loads of parks have areas like this:-

...but I never use them myself, or see them being used. Partly because it's too hot, but also, as you say, jadis, people "end up feeling stupid" - which is true but strange, given that you are doing something healthy.

This is exactly what I need, thanks very much!

Fashion in the era of covid:
What the well-dressed anti-vaccer is wearing this fall:

So in addition to putting others at risk due to their selfishness/stubborness/idiocy, they also are happy to endanger lives by wearing large sharp objects on top of their heads? Lends new meaning to the term prickhead, which I just made up and own copyright on, in perpetuity and in all territories, known or unknown, including any new dimensions discovered in the future.

It may just be anxiety/nocebo.

I see very little reason to worry about side effects. For sure, covid is much much more likely to lead to a wealth of health problems.

Don't read vaccine scare propaganda.
