Yes. But it would have only taken a few weeks to contain it if people just weren’t selfish ****s. Keep the numbers low and then use contact tracing. SARS MERS Ebola Measles Outbreaks TB Outbreaks. Westerners couldn’t stay inside just for a ****ing week. No sense of social responsibility.

Sure, and ironically the fact that they're too spoilt to make those sacrifices for a few weeks contributes to the fact that we're still in this mess after a year. Just saying lumping people walking or running together with brunches is unfair.

Well I think you kind of live on the outskirts where it’s possible to give people a wide berth. I’m really, in this case, talking about Manhattan in particular. I would still frown on it, but if you live in Manhattan and want to exercise, put your mask on and walk to Central Park. It’s huge and granny doesn’t have to go there to get her pills. Not everyone, but a lot of New Yorkers have a very me me me attitude when it comes to spreading their wings on the crowded sidewalks that simply have to be shared. A lot people kept jogging and cycling in those tight areas that people with high co-morbidities HAVE to use. Honestly, I think you’re very far removed from the type of people that get me so pissed. If people took your level of social responsibility we’d have this thing contained. It’s just that so many people wouldn’t give a goddamn inch that I’m inclined to advocate killing the whole ****ing lot of them.

yeah I don't live on the outskirts of town but there's enough room if you take care, it's not New York. Also it helps that I live near a very large park. Some people don't give a **** though; last week I was running in the park on a road which is wide enough, but 3 guys were walking side by side so I couldn't pass distantly. They saw me coming, didn't move, so I said 'come on, make some space' and they just made those dismissive whiny woman mimicking noises and still didn't move. That really pissed me off on so many levels, luckily it was an exception.

Question:

At the moment supplies of the Astrazeneca vaccine are in short supply in Europe; they're blaming it on supply chain but the upshot is there will be nowhere near as much as we had all hoped, at least not in the short term.

Assuming you are healthy with no underlying conditions, IF the vaccines had to be rationed, would you be willing to forego yours in order that someone who needs it more (older, sick, disabled etc) could get theirs, or do you think **** them I want my vaccine?

Just wondering.

Also, would it make a difference if you were paid NOT to get it, at least right away, so that those who need it could?

I'd be interested in everyone's reactions, especially to the second part.
