He had plenty of opportunity to kick up a war with Iran. He wasn’t very hawkish. The truth is we need to not let the next administration pull any of that bull****.

That's different (Hawkish! Hah!) - he would have had to deal with the fallout himself. But it was reported that he wanted to do it in the last sixty days but the generals stood up to him.
