We're being asked to give family gatherings a miss over Christmas, and suggested two extra holidays in July of next year. Doubt it'll make any difference. Protect yourself and those important to you, that's all you can do.

Young people are probably dying at a faster rate now because up to a short while ago every snot-nosed teenager thought he or she was immune; this was a virus that affected older people, so they ignored it and just kept doing what they were doing.

Who's laughing now, bitch?

Seriously though: for ****'s sake. If people had just taken this seriously from the beginning (and I'm not only talking about America here, we're just as bad) then a lot less people need to have died. As Robert A. Heinlein once wrote, you live and learn. Or you don't live long.
