I met a man today that thinks, legitimately, that this is not real, that we're being lied to. I told him thousands have died and they just shut down an entire country. He said that's propaganda.

People are funny.

I had the same thoughts but this is a young guy I've known for a while now.

I have to share this exchange I just had. This is a different person from the previously mentioned guy. Today is going to be one of those days I guess.

I was asked for some Moody Blues records. That was the first sign of trouble. I told him they're all in the dollar bin except one special one from Japan. I have this exchange after he comes up to the counter.

Dude - "Thanks. I'll take the dollar ones. I'm not taking the Japan one. There's a reason I don't eat Chinese food."

Me - "...................I don't understand."

Dude - "Well, you can't be too careful with this virus going around."

Me - "Yeah, but this album was made in 1984."

Dude - "Can't be too careful with these Chinese things though."

I was speechless. Without speech.

I don't know what was worse. The fact that he thought that something from Japan 35 years ago has been affected with a virus new to science in the last year or the fact that he thought China and Japan were the same thing.

I wasn't able to go this year because I did poor planning and hotel costs got expensive real fast, but it sucks for the people who made arrangements and I hope that this doesn't impact the future of the festival.
