I don't know, man. Not only listening to co-workers argue with me over the effectiveness of psychics and astrology, but listening to their concepts of the logic of those ideas is destroying my belief that the human race has a capacity for meaningful re-education. We're ****ing monkeys, dude.

I most definitely said "'we're' ****ing monkeys, dude". The lottery is just one form of it. All the way from anti-vaxxers fighting for the safety of babies all because THEY couldn't possibly have ruined their kids' brains through simple dumb genetic luck, must have been a conspiracy they get to fight as heroes; all the down to your prick boss who takes seriously the proclamation of some corporation that they now have power over you when they have no authority to grant power to anyone, not because they believe they are an integral part in a necessary machine, but because it rises them above others and gives them material gain. It's all humans acting in seemingly cooperative ways that boil down to de facto individualism masked by stupidity.

I know too many people who sink obscene amounts of money (for their pay grade) into scratch offs and slot machines at corner stores.
